The Hyde Park United Soccer League is run by a dedicated executive board of directors on a volunteer basis. Volunteers commit to specific board role duties and meet on a monthly basis (usually first Wednesday of every Month). Our board needs active volunteers and is looking to grow.
With many board members having their children grow up and age out of the League, we are looking to rebuild our board membership to ensure the League transitions smoothly. We are hopeful that you might consider taking time out of your schedule to contribute to the continued success of Hyde Park Soccer. With contribution from each Board member, we can meet the needs of a town soccer program. Please send us an email for more information and to discuss how to become involved.
We have a number of detailed spreadsheets on file to help get you started on specific role positions and duties. Contact: hydeparksoccerleague@gmail.com.

President Reinaldo Pizarro
Reinaldo Pizarro's Background
“My soccer background started when I began playing as a child, giving it up in high school before returning to play in men’s leagues in Rochester. When I moved to this area, I didn’t know anyone and wanted to stay involved in soccer. That’s when I took my first referee course and was certified as a high
school soccer referee. Since then, i’ve been a High School referee for 16 seasons (having gone to the State Tournament four times), a USSF (travel) referee for 15 seasons and a college referee for 12 seasons.”
“I’m currently the President of MHSOA (high school), President of MHISOA (college), 2nd Vice President of HVSRA (travel soccer). As 2nd Vice President of HVSRA my main job is heading up the Mentoring program and focusing on improving and supporting our youth referees.”
“In our club, I became Head Referee and Assignor for Hyde Park in 2016. Since then, I’ve enjoyed working with our young referees. Their thirst for knowledge and desire to improve is inspiring.
As President, look forward to continuing with our mission to offer an affordable opportunity for kids and families in our community to play, learn, and enjoy the game of soccer.”
Reinaldo moved from Rochester to the Hudson Valley in mid-2007 after meeting his future wife while she was in school at SUNY Brockport. She’s originally from the area, being an Arlington alumni, and they originally settled in Staatsburg. After 3 years, their family grew and moved into a house here in Hyde Park. Now they have 3 sons, all of whom enjoy playing in the rec program.
